The flood watch that York County has been under all week has once again been extended, according to the National Weather Service.

The watch, which was supposed to end at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, was extended to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 26.

The watch previously had been extended from Monday, Jan. 22, to Thursday.

The weather service said flooding from ice jams is possible along the Susquehanna River below York Haven.

According to the weather service, areas most susceptible to ice jam flooding are Lake Clarke, primarily on the York County side; Long Level Road, from Klines Run Road to and including Fishing Creek Road; North Front Street near Wrightsville; and River Drive near the Accomac Inn in York County.

Lancaster County is included in the watch as well.
