Flood watch in effect until Thursday afternoon

A flood watch is in effect for York County until 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The watch, which was initially scheduled to end 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, was extended Tuesday morning.

The NWS said flooding from ice jams is possible along the Susquehanna River below York Haven.

Minor flooding is possibly along Lake Clarke on the York County side, according to the NWS.

Lancaster County is included in the flood watch as well.
