PennDOT to repair potholes on Route 30, I-83 starting Monday
Help is on the way for pothole-weary drivers.
Maintenance crews will spend next week repairing potholes on Route 30 and Interstate 83, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said.
The work will be done between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., PennDOT said.
Crews will work on Route 30 from North Hills Road east to the Susquehanna River on Monday, Jan. 22, and from Kenneth Road west to the Route 462 (West Market Street) exchange on Tuesday, Jan. 23.
On I-83, work is planned Monday through Thursday, Jan. 22-25. Crews will be in northbound lanes between Exit 4, and Exit 16 and in southbound lanes between Exit 28 and Exit 16.
The schedule could change depending on weather conditions, PennDOT said.
Wet conditions paired with temperatures fluctuating above and below the freezing point have created potholes on many roads in the area, PennDOT said.
