North George Street will be closed in Manchester Township Saturday morning for a police investigation.

All lanes will be closed 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, between Lightner Road and Route 30, and vehicles will not be permitted to exit Interstate 83 at Exit 22, according to a news release.

Northern York County Regional Police say they are investigating an incident that occurred on Jan. 11 in which a pedestrian was fatally struck.

Branko Joldzic, 60, was crossing in the 1600 block of North George Street in Manchester Township when he was hit by a vehicle at about 9:40 p.m, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

He was taken to York Hospital, where he was pronounced dead less than an hour later, the release states.

A 29-year-old woman was driving the vehicle that struck the man, and she remained on the scene and cooperated with police, according to a news release from Northern York County Regional Police.
