Road conditions may worsen for the afternoon commute as a wintry mix is expected to make its way across York and surrounding counties Monday, Jan. 7.

The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory calling for "mixed precipitation" in York County that forecasters say will likely impact afternoon and evening commutes.

The weather service projects snow totals will amount between a coating and an inch, though ice accumulations of a "light glaze" are expected.

The advisory will be in affect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and is also in effect for nearby Dauphin, Lebanon, Cumberland, Adams and Lancaster counties.
