A windy and (slightly) white Christmas in store for York
Tubers of all ages come from near and far on opening day at AvalancheXpress Snow Tubing at Heritage Hills.
Batten down the decorations, it's going to be a windy Christmas Day.
York will see rain and snow showers through the evening on Sunday, Christmas Eve, with more snow overnight, according to AccuWeather. The area will likely wake up to a coating to an inch of snow on Christmas Day, the forecast said.
York is under a wind advisory starting at 5 a.m. Monday, Dec. 25, the National Weather Service announced. The area will see winds from the west at 20 to 30 mph, with gust up to 45 mph, the NWS said. The winds will die down by Monday night, the service said.
Unsecured objects are likely to blow around, and the winds could blow down tree limbs and cause some power outages, the NWS said.
