Coroner IDs 90-year-old man killed in Spring Garden crash

A 90-year old man died after a crash in Spring Garden Township Wednesday, Dec. 20, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Police say a car and a delivery truck collided at about 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of Country Club Road and Grantley Road.

Charles Schaszberger, of Springettsbury Township, and his passenger were both to York Hospital from the crash, and Schaszberger died soon after the crash, the coroner's report states.

His passenger was treated and released, the report adds.

Grantley Road was closed between Villa Terrace and Colonial Avenue for several hours as police reconstructed the crash scene, according to police. The road opened to traffic at about 6:30 p.m.
