State police to participate in enhanced DUI enforcement
State police in York County will be participating in enhanced DUI enforcement throughout the rest of the month.
According to a news release, state police will be participating with the National Highway Traffic Safety Adminstration's "Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over."
The campaign starts Wednesday, Dec. 13, and goes through Dec. 31.
Troopers will participate in DUI patrols and checkpoints, and certified drug recognition experts will be on the lookout for impaired drivers, according to police.
During the same campaign last year, Troop H handled 156 DUI investigations in the troop's six-county coverage area. Thirty-six of those investigations came from York County, police said.
Troop H covers York, Adams, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin and Perry counties.
