A Spring Grove man accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl was found in Louisiana this week, according to police.

Southwestern Regional Police filed charges for Jeremi Douglas Fitzkee, 38, in October, and on Nov. 29 he was taken into custody, according to a news release.

Fitzkee, of the first block of North Main Street, faces charges of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with someone younger than 16, statutory sexual assault and corruption of minors.

Background: According to court documents, the 15-year-old went to Fitzkee's home in January, and he gave her alcohol before forcing her to engage in sexual acts.

The girl told police about the incident in July, police said.

Charges were filed Oct. 4, and Fitzkee did not show up for arraignment on Oct. 10, according to police.

Police say he is in the custody of the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Office. He will be extradited to York County to face the charges.
