Vehicles, electronics for sale at DA's Office Black Friday auction

The York County District Attorney's Office will be selling off dozens of vehicles this Friday.

The DA's office said in a news release Tuesday, Nov. 21, that its fall auction will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at the Schaad Detective Agency at 1114 Roosevelt Ave.

Seized vehicles up for auction by the York County Drug Task Force on Black Friday at Schaad Detective Agency on Roosevelt Ave.

At the auction, 43 vehicles will be for sale. Additionally, 45 smaller items, including televisions, electronic components, tables, computers, game systems and jewelry, will be auctioned.

Most of the items were seized under drug-forfeiture laws, and the money raised goes back to the county drug task force to fund its day-to-day operations.

The vehicles will be sold "as is," and those who successfully bid on the items have to place a $500 cash deposit for every vehicle won.

The remainder of the balance must be paid within seven days. At the auction, there will be title, tags and notary services.

All other items are cash-and-carry at the time of the sale, the DA's office said. Personal checks will not be accepted.

The vehicles have been available for view at the detective agency since Wednesday, Nov. 22.
