West York Police are searching for a man who they say fired a gun during a burglary.

Police say Eric Theady Banks, 37, whose last known address is in the 1200 block of Wellingston Street, York City, is wanted and considered "armed and dangerous," according to police.

Banks faces charges of burglary, carrying a firearm without a license, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.

 

According to authorities, Banks entered a West York home, showed a handgun and fired three shots as he left the area in his vehicle  Nov. 18.

Banks is described at 6-foot-3, 245 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers at 1-800-4PA Tips. Callers can remains anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.
