Center city York became a bit more festive Sunday as Downtown Inc and about 30 volunteers decorated lamp posts with evergreen ropes and bows.

The 16th Annual Hanging of the Greens started with a demonstration by Downtown Inc office manager Jody Chesla on the proper way to hang the greens, and then the group split up to work on different sections of Market and George streets.
