York College student robbed by group of children

A York College student was robbed by a group of juveniles between 10 and 12 years old, according to an alert issued by the campus.

The alert, sent to students Thursday, Nov. 9, states that a student was robbed in an off-campus robbery earlier that day.

The student was robbed by a group of four to five boys, described as 10 to 12 years old, about 5:30 p.m. in Butler Alley in York City, the alert states.


One of the suspects wore a black ski mask and yellow T-shirt and displayed a gun, according to the alert.

The victim was walking alone on Butler Alley when he was approached by the group, and they demanded money. He told them he did not have money, so he gave them his headphones, the alert states.

The group then fled, and the victim reported the robbery about 10 minutes later, officials said.

York City Police are investigating.
