A teenage girl who was shot in York City's east end was with someone who was targeted, according to police.

Capt. Troy Bankert, who supervises the city's detective bureau, said the teen was shot in the 600 block of East Philadelphia Street Wednesday, Nov. 1. She suffered non-life threatening wounds.

“She was with somebody who was (targeted)," Bankert said.

The shooting happened at about 4:20 p.m.

The teen was taken to York Hospital by ambulance for treatment, he said. No arrests have been made in that shooting.
