A bridge in Hellam Township that has been closed for the better part of a year reopened this week, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The Ducktown Road Bridge, Route 2021, over Kreutz Creek in Hellam Township opened at 2:15 p.m. Monday, Oct. 30, PennDOT said. 

The bridge had been closed since January for a project to replace the bridge that was originally built in 1948, according to PennDOT.
