Teens charged in York City armed robbery

Three teens remain in York County Prison, charged as adults, after police say they robbed a man at gunpoint in York City.
Police say Prince Juan Carlos Walker, 16; Marcus Jerome Grant, 16; and Jose Gabriel Diaz, 15, broke into a home in the 600 block of Courtland Street, and demanded money from the victim at gunpoint.
According to police, Diaz also led police on a chase before being taken into custody.
Walker, of the 800 block of East Poplar Street; Grant, of the 700 block of East King Street; and Diaz, of the 100 block of Manchester Street, are each charged with robbery, burglary, carrying a firearm without a license and possession of a firearm by a minor.
Alleged robbery: York City Police say the three broke into a home in the 600 block of Courtland Street about 2 p.m. Oct. 20 and demanded money.
The three left the home and began walking toward the area of the Wellington Homes, police said. York County Control informed police that Diaz was in all gray and had a gun, documents state.
Officers found Diaz in a gray sweatshirt and shorts at the intersection of South Sherman and East Princess streets, and he ran from them, police said.
Officers followed him until finally taking him into custody in the 900 block of East Poplar Street, charging documents state.
Police later found a handgun underneath a shrub at the corner of East Poplar and South Tremont streets, according to court documents.
Witnesses at the scene confirmed that Grant also had a small handgun at one point and that all three were seen leaving the area together, police said.
Grant was arraigned on the charges Oct. 23, and sent to York County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Diaz and Walker were arraigned on the charges Oct. 23 as well, and the two were sent to York County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail each.
None of them has an attorney listed.
Their preliminary hearing is scheduled for Nov. 6 at District Judge Linda Williams' office.
