A Manheim Township man will spend the next half century of his life in prison for producing, possessing and transporting child pornography, according to officials.

Clarke pleaded guilty to the charges in November 2016, and he was sentenced Wednesday, Oct. 25.

Officials have said that between 2010 and 2015, Clarke sexually assaulted a minor child multiple times and recorded the abuse on video.

Charges: On Sept. 26, 2015, Clarke was arrested by the Southwestern Regional Police Department and charged with child rape and related offenses, according to the release.

Authorities searched his home, where computers, hard drives, thumb drives and CDs were seized. The FBI examined them and found that Clarke had downloaded and saved child porn on a number of the devices, the release states.

Additional investigation showed that Clarke made recordings in 2010 of another minor girl by using hidden cameras, and he then took the images from Iowa to Pennsylvania, officials said.

During Wednesday's sentencing, the victim and the victim's mother and brother presented statements telling of the damage Clarke caused them and their lives.
