Police: Dallastown teen shot in attempted York City robbery

A teenager from Dallastown was shot during an attempted robbery in York City, according to police.

York City Police Capt. Troy Bankert said that a 15-year-old from Dallastown was shot in the 500 block of South Duke Street about 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25. 

The captain said the teen was first hit over the head, then shot in the abdomen.

The teen was taken to York Hospital, according to Bankert. No arrests have been made, Bankert said.

He said the teen is expected to survive his wound.
