Route 30 repair work delayed to Friday
The repair work initially scheduled for Route 30 on Thursday, Oct. 19, will now take place Friday, Oct. 20.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said Thursday that the repair work scheduled for Route 30 westbound between Kenneth Road and the exit for Route 74, in West Manchester Township, has been postponed until Friday.
The repairs, which will close the center and right lanes, will take place between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
“We have a recurring problem there with a dip in the roadway,” PennDOT spokesman Mike Crochunis said.
The work was postponed because there was a breakdown at the blacktop plant, which is where the crews get the materials for the job, PennDOT said.
A portion of the exit for Route 74 also will be restricted, according to PennDOT.
