Philadelphia man arrested in York for meth

York County Drug Task Force officers arrested a Philadelphia man Thursday, Sept. 28, for possession of 4 ounces of methamphetamine.

Gregory A. Jackson, 52, was charged with one count of possession with the intent to deliver a controlled substance after police seized 100 grams of methamphetamine valued at about $5,000.

Police expected Jackson to be traveling from Philadelphia to the York area with the substance on Sept. 28 with the intent to distribute, according to a release from the York County District Attorney's Office.

Jackson was located in the downtown York area and, following surveillance, police took him into custody without incident. 

He was later arraigned and committed to the York County Prison with bail set at $250,000, and a state parole detainer was filed.
