A Chanceford Township man died of his injuries, two days after crashing a motorized scooter, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

Timothy Anstine, 66, of the 2500 block of Trinity Road in Chanceford Township, was riding a motorized scooter without a helmet when he crashed at 10:38 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 23, at 9914 Brogueville Road, according to the coroner's release.

Anstine was found lying in a ditch some distance away from the scooter, which was lying on the side of the road, according to the release.

No one else was involved, and the incident has been deemed accidental, the report said.

Anstine died from complications of blunt force head trauma at York Hospital at 8:39 p.m.  Monday, Sept. 25, the release states.

Deputy Coroner Jeffri Goodfellow was dispatched to York Hospital to certify the death.

There will be no autopsy.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the incident.
