A 61-year-old woman died Friday, Sept. 15, at York Hospital shortly after she was struck at the intersection of Stonewood Road and East Market Street in Springettsbury Township.

Carolyn Griffin was attempting to cross the intersection at 7:45 p.m. Friday when she was struck by a vehicle traveling east on East Market Street, according to a news release from the York County Coroner's Office.

She was taken to York Hospital for treatment but succumbed to multiple blunt-force injuries about 8:30 p.m. Friday, the release stated.

The coroner's office ruled Griffin's death an accident.

The release stated she was living in the 600 block of Atlantic Avenue in Red Lion before reportedly recently moving into an area motel in Springettsbury Township.
