Repair work scheduled for I-83

Repairs on Interstate 83 are expected to cause lane restrictions in both directions this week, according to a news release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

PennDOT said maintenance crews are scheduled to do roadway base repairs between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. from Monday, Sept. 11, to Thursday, Sept. 14.

The repairs are expected to be between Exit 16, Queen Street in York Township, and Exit 10, for Route 214, in Springfield Township.

The work will be done on southbound lanes on Monday and Tuesday, and then northbound lanes on Wednesday and Thursday.
