A woman was shot in the foot in York City, according to police.

A York City Police sergeant said  woman suffered non-life threatening injuries after she was shot in the foot in the area of the 800 block of East Princess Street.

A call for shots fired was reported in at 7:25 p.m., Aug. 22, according to police.

Police say she was found on the sidewalk with a graze wound, and she was taken to York Hospital by ambulance. She is in stable condition, according to police.

The investigation is ongoing.

Police were investigating near the intersection of East Princess and South Sherman Street. They left the scene around 8 p.m.
