A severe thunderstorm warning is in effect for York County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The warning, issue at about 2:30 p.m., is in effect for northwestern York County until 3:30 p.m. 

At 2:36 p.m., severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from Ickesburg to near Carlisle Springs, to near Bloserville, moving east at 40 mph, the NWS said.

According to the NWS, there is potential for 60 mph wind gusts.

In addition to the warning, a severe thunderstorm watch will remain in effect for York County until 9 p.m.

Lancaster, Dauphin, and Cumberland counties are in also included in the watch.
