Flash flood warning in effect for York County

A flash flood watch is in effect for York County, according to the National Weather Service (NWS).

The flood watch will be in effect from 5 p.m. Sunday through 5 a.m. Monday, according to the NWS.

Heavy rainfall from thunderstorms is expected this evening and overnight, according to the alert. The heavy rainfall may cause flash flooding in some areas.

Last week, heavy rainfall caused flooding in several busy roads York County, including on Eastern Boulevard, Market Street and Industrial Highway.
