A Spring Garden Township man remains in York County Prison without bail after authorities say he molested multiple children.

Eugene Anthony Cookinham, 46, is charged with eight felonies including multiple counts of involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent assault, court documents state.

Police say his victims spoke to authorities this month, alleging he molested them over a period of a few years.

Charges against Cookinham were filed Friday, and Cookinham was arraigned that night. He was then remanded to York County Prison without bail, as ordered by District Judge Jeffrey Oberdorf, online court records indicate.

Cookinham does not have an attorney listed.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Aug. 11 at District Judge Jennifer J.P. Clancy's office.
