York City man dies 11 days after crash

A 46-year-old man has succumbed to injuries suffered in a motorcycle crash early in the morning on Independence Day in York City, according to the York County Coroner’s Office.

Robert Addison, of the first block of North Hartman Street in York City, died at York Hospital at 11:30 p.m. Saturday from complications of multiple blunt-force trauma, according to a release from the coroner’s office.

Addison was operating a motorcycle when he crashed into a vehicle near North Sherman and Wallace streets in York City at 1:30 a.m. July 4, and he was immediately transported to York Hospital.

According to the release, Addison’s condition deteriorated over the course of his 11-day hospitalization.

There will be no autopsy, according to the release.
