Dooley Road bridge closing postponed a week
The bridge in southeastern York County that was supposed to be closed for repairs Monday will close a week later, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
PennDOT said Thursday that the Dooley Road bridge over Scott Creek at the Delta-Peach Bottom line will now close on July 24, as opposed to its previously announced closing of July 17.
The bridge, which is included in the state's structurally deficient bridge list, will be closed during the week of July 24 and will be completed by early October, PennDOT said.
During the repair, drivers will be directed through a detour along Main Street, Broad Street, Route 74 and Line Road, according to PennDOT.
The bridge is one of 558 bridges throughout the state being replaced as part of the Rapid Bridge Placement Project. To see other bridges included in the project, check the project's website.
