Coroner releases cause of death in Codorus Twp. crash

Medical issues contributed to the death of a man involved in a fatal crash Tuesday in Codorus Township, according to a release from the York County Coroner's office.

Allan Ronald Pinkerton Jr., 52, of Conewago Township, crashed into an embankment in Codorus Township. He was pronounced dead about 12:45 p.m.at the scene of the crash,  at 3880 Jefferson Road, according to the York County Coroner's Office.

An autopsy conducted Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital showed Pinkerton's cause of death as blunt force neck and torso trauma because of the crash, complicated by cardiovascular disease.
