Police: York City man sexually assaulted drunk woman
A York City man who is a registered sex offender allegedly followed a drunken woman home from a bar and sexually assaulted her, according to police.
Police say Albert Williams, 43, admitted to having intercourse with the woman and that she was "real, real drunk."
Williams, of 42 N. East St., is charged of sexual assault and rape of an unconscious person, according to online court documents.
Allegations: According to police, a 40-year-old woman was at the M&M Bar and Lounge in York City in the early morning hours of Jan. 28, and she was too intoxicated to leave on her own.
Another patron of the bar had to drive her to her home, documents state.
Williams saw the woman in the bar and had waited 30 minutes in his car until she left, court documents allege. He then followed the two back to the woman's home, police said.
According to court documents, Williams walked the victim into her home and raped her. She asked him to stop, but he did not, police said.
The woman told police she did not remember anything else after that, court documents state.
Police interviewed Williams, during which he acknowledged having intercourse with the woman, documents state.
Police say once Williams was done he had to wake up the victim and put clothes back on her, and that she was "real, real drunk."
Williams' sexual assault charges were filed Monday, and he was arraigned on the charges that night, according to court records.
According to the state's Megan's Law directory, Williams pleaded guilty to sexual assault in November 2001. The assault happened in March 2001.
Williams also is charged with failing to verify his address, according to online court records.
He remains in York County Prison in lieu of $300,000 bail. He does not have an attorney listed.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. July 10 at District Judge James Morgan's office.
