Police: York City shooting victim robbed

A man was shot after a robbery Thursday night in York City, according to a York City Police official.

Lt. Troy Bankert said Trey Artur, 29, of York City, was shot in the upper right chest area. Bankert said Artur alleged he was shot during a robbery that took place about 9 p.m. in the area of Heiges Street and South West Street.

Police spoke with the victim in the area of the 600 block of West Princess Street after the shooting, Bankert confirmed

The bullet went through Artur, Bankert said.

“It shot through his pectoral muscle through the side," he said

About 9:15 p.m., two White Rose ambulances were situated in front of a home in the 600 block of West Princess Street. At 9:30 p.m., the vehicles left. 

The victim was taken to York Hospital, and Bankert said Friday that Artur has  been released.

A suspect has not been identified, however Bankert said that the suspect is a man.
