The York County Coroner's Office has released the name of a man found dead in a creek Sunday night in Chanceford Township, pinned under a lawn tractor.

Michael Kevin Gibson, 37, lived in the 2700 block of New Bridgeville Road. That's also where the incident occurred, near the intersections of Rockey and Crawford roads, according to the coroner's office.

State police said at this point, it's believed Gibson's death was an accident.

York County Coroner Pam Gay said an autopsy on Gibson's body is set for 8 a.m. Tuesday at Allentown's Lehigh Valley Hospital.

Gibson had been seen mowing his property Sunday evening then was found dead in the creek about 9:30 p.m., according to the coroner's office.

Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful, according to Gay.

Deputy Coroner Tania Zech pronounced Gibson dead at the scene, according to the coroner's office.

Trooper Brent Miller, a state police spokesman, said troopers are not investigating at this point because Gibson's death is believed to be an accident.
