Vehicle crashes into York City office building

A car crashed into a York City office building Wednesday night, causing damage to the front of the building.

According to a York County 911 supervisor, the crash occurred around 8 p.m., and one person was taken to York Hospital by ambulance.

The car struck the Susquehanna Commerce Center at 221 W. Philadelphia St.

Damage could be seen to the front of the building, and the area was blocked off with police tape.

Officials blocked off the street near the intersection of North Pershing Street and West Philadelphia Street. At about 9 p.m., the road was re-opened, and police left the scene.

York City Police did not have information on the crash immediately available when reached Wednesday night.
