Police: York City man stabbed woman multiple times
Police say a York City man stabbed his ex-girlfriend up to seven times last week.
Markes Ifrain Rodriguez allegedly used a butcher knife to stab the woman, sending her to the trauma bay at York Hospital, according to York City Police.
Rodriguez, 38, of 74 W. Boundary Ave., faces charges of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and reckless endangerment, according to charging documents. Rodriguez had not been arraigned on the charges as of Tuesday evening.
Allegations: Police were sent to York Hospital about 1 p.m. May 8 for a stabbing victim, documents state. While there, the victim, Rodriguez's ex-girlfriend, told police she was stabbed multiple times at his residence about 12:20 p.m., police said.
The woman said she went to Rodriguez to get money that he owed her, and he accused her of cheating on him, according to police.
His ex-girlfriend said he then grabbed a butcher knife from the back of her car and stabbed her twice while she was seated in her car, documents state.
Rodriguez then pulled her into his residence and proceeded to stab her "at least five more times" on the second floor of the home, according to police.
The woman had stab wounds to her forehead, the back of her head, stomach, shoulder area and hand, court documents state. Hospital staff said she was stabbed at least seven times, if not more, according to police.
