A Mechanicsburg man is accused of trying to break into his girlfriend's parents' home earlier this week, Fairview Township Police said.

According to police, 22-year-old Jose Medina was found trying to get into the home Monday morning. This  allegedly happened after a dispute at a different address.

Medina, of Rolo Court, is charged with burglary, criminal trespass, defiant trespass, criminal mischief and harassment, according to online court records.

Allegations: Police were sent to Sunset View Drive at 9 a.m. Monday for a report of an attempted break-in. Medina was found trying to get into the house after he had an argument with his girlfriend while at a different house, police say.

Medina made multiple threats toward the people inside the home and also damaged a window during his attempt to get in, according to police.

Medina was arraigned on the charges Monday night. He was remanded to York County Prison in lieu of $250,000 bail.

His preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m. May 12 at District Judge Scott J. Gross' office.
