Those looking to take Interstate 83 near Route 30 Saturday might want to find an alternate route.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced Friday that repairs will close the right lane of I-83 southbound starting from 7 a.m. until late afternoon.

Repairs to a portion of the bridge deck are expected to close the lane for a portion of the day, weather permitting.

Additionally, two ramps at the I-83 interchange with Route 30 will be closed while the repairs are being done. The ramp from westbound Route 30 to southbound I-83 and the ramp from southbound I-83 to eastbound Route 30 will be closed, according to PennDOT.

Motorists are asked to pay attention to work zone signs, and slow down when approaching the areas.
