UPDATE:

York City Police Chief Wes Kahley said shortly after 11 a.m. Friday that Ishe has been found in Hanover.

According to a news release issued by police about 11:15 a.m., Ishe packed his clothes and left his home on Thursday morning, but didn't go to school.

Officers searched local homes, parks and other locations since he was reported missing about 11 a.m. Thursday, the release states.

Ishe will now be reunited with his family, police said.

Kahley said he could not provide immediate answers to questions about how Ishe got to Hanover, who he was with and whether that person or people are facing charges.

"We are still investigating how everything occurred at this point," he said. "Obviously an 11-year-old didn't walk to Hanover."

REPORTED FRIDAY MORNING:

Police are still searching for an 11-year-old York City boy who's been missing for more than 24 hours.

Ishe Rashan Johnson-Bull is a sixth-grader at McKinley K-8 who was last seen about 6:45 a.m. Thursday near the corner of Roosevelt and Maryland avenues, near the Turkey Hill Minit Market, according to Erin James, York City School District spokeswoman.

At about 10:30 a.m. Friday, York City Police Chief Wes Kahley said Ishe's whereabouts remain unknown. He said the youth ran away from home.

"We are continuing to follow up any lead we get, and are working the investigation to its fullest," Kahley said, noting Ishe's young age.

Raymond Johnson Bull, the boy's father, said he's heard his son was last spotted hanging out in the 600 block of West Princess Street.

"I just want him home," he said. "I'm not upset with him, I'm not mad at him. We can get past this."

James said the York City School District sent out robocalls to the parents and guardians of all district students, asking them to speak with their children about where Ishe might be.

She said another round of robocalls is planned for Friday.

Ishe — pronounced EE-shay — was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black pants and tan boots, his father confirmed.

York City School District is asking anyone who sees the boy to call 911 right away — and to stay with Ishe, James said.

Or call York City Police at 717-846-1234.
