Heroin town hall in Hanover on Thursday

State Rep. Kate Klunk will be among the participants at a town hall meeting in Hanover on Thursday, discussing York County's ongoing heroin and opioid epidemic.

It's set to begin at 7 p.m. Thursday at York Street Rehab, 400 York St. in the borough, according to a news release from the York County District Attorney's Office.

Klunk, R-Hanover, will be joined by Dr. Susan Peck, a Hanover physician; York County Coroner Pam Gay; chief deputy prosecutor Dave Sunday; and Dr. Matt Howie, director of the York Opioid Collaborative.

People will be able to ask questions and learn about what county and state officials are doing to combat the epidemic, improve treatment and change laws.
