Bull Road bridge construction to start next week
Construction on the Bull Road bridge is scheduled to start next week, according to a release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.
The bridge spanning the Dover, Conewago Township and Manchester Township line will start Tuesday, PennDOT said.
The project will replace the existing structure with a new bridge, the release states.
Drivers will be directed around the closure through a detour that uses Church Road, Greenbriar Road and Route 921, according to PennDOT.
The new bridge is expected to open by early- to mid-July.
Weather or unforeseen events might change the schedule.
The bridge is one of 558 bridges in the state being replaced under the Rapid Bridge Replacement Project, the release states. To see other bridges included in the initiative, check the project's website, www.parapidbridges.com.
