Bridge over Mud Run to be closed, replaced
A portion of Route 194 in Washington Township will be closed this month for a bridge replacement.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the placement of signs on Baltimore Pike alerting drivers of the closure, set for April 19.
The stretch of Route 194 between the bridge over Mud Run, between Lake Meade Road and Fish & Game Road, will be closed for the construction, according to a news release.
The bridge, one of 129 structurally deficient bridges in York County, was built in 1929.
A detour will be available that follows Lake Meade Road, Stoney Point Road, Germany Road, Route 234 and other parts of Route 194, the release states.
Bridge construction is expected to be completed by the end of October, according to PennDOT.
