York and the region are under a flood advisory until 4:30 p.m. according to the National Weather Service.

In a special weather statement, the service says a strong line of thunderstorms may hit York County this afternoon, producing one inch of rain in less than a hour and pea-sized hail. Wind gusts of 40 miles per hour are possible.

These storms could lead to areas of poor drainage flooding, the NWS reports.
