WellSpan Health announced a new vice president of home care services Monday.

Sandra Bennis, a community health administrator with more than 35 years of experience, assumed the role upon the announcement, according to a news release. Bennis comes from the Moorestown VNA and Hospice in Moorestown, New Jersey.

“Sandy is a very engaging and energetic leader with deep knowledge about health care and significant experience in home care within a larger health system,” said Barbara Yarrish, WellSpan Health senior vice president of post-acute services.

“I am very excited for the opportunity,” Bennis said in the release. “WellSpan is a progressive system in the ambulatory area, and I was very impressed with that.”

Bennis will oversee post-acute services, including VNA Home Care, and will be involved in the program’s development across the regional health system, including the company’s hospice facility in Lebanon.
