Resurfacing is scheduled to resume for Lewisberry Road in Newberry Township on Monday, according to a release from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation.

The contractor will resume preparations to repair and resurface the nearly 5-mile section of Route 382 west of Interstate 83, from the intersection with Old Trail Road in Newberry Township, to a half-mile west of Siddonsburg Road in Fairview Township, PennDOT said.

Motorists might encounter shifting traffic patterns as well as lane restrictions with flaggers through the work zones during the daylight hours.

The contract, given to Hempt Bros., of Camp Hill, includes base replacement, drainage-pipe and inlet replacements, guiderail replacement and new signs and pavement markings, according to PennDOT.

In October, sections of Route 382 were closed more than three weekends as crews replaced drainage pipes.

Route 382 averages more than 6,000 vehicles daily, according to the release. Drivers are asked to plan additional time or find an alternate route and are reminded to be alert.
