An outpouring of support from the York County community has so far not led to a missing Hanover-area teenager being found. On Monday, her father said he is even more concerned now than he was over the weekend.

"We have some promising information," Keith Krumrine said of his daughter, 16-year-old Madison Krumrine, who has been missing since about 8:30 p.m. Thursday.

The information doesn't have to do with her whereabouts, he said, adding he needed to keep details private for now.

"It's a lead of some substance," Krumbine said, but not one that makes him feel optimistic. He said the information actually makes him feel worse.

"We just want  her to come home," he said. "We want her home. We want her safe."

Out of character: The frightened father said he and other family members wish they could tell Madison how much they love her and miss her.

"We know this is out of character for her," he said. "We still don't know if she left on her own."

Madison did not take her cellphone with her, according to West Manheim Township Police. She also didn't take her laptop computer, according to her father.

He said he convinced police to search the Maryland home of a man with whom Madison is acquainted but said that lead was a dead end.

The background: Hundreds of people spent hours searching the area around Madison's West Manheim Township home Sunday afternoon but found no clues to explain her disappearance, her father has said.

"She basically disappeared off the face of the earth," he has said.

Madison is white, 5-feet-7, with blond hair.

Searchers combed the area near the Krumrine home from about 2 p.m. until after dark, Keith Krumrine said.

The aspiring country musician hasn't contacted family or friends, according to her father.

Krumrine, who friends said hasn't slept in days, has publicly said he's never felt so helpless.

Willingly left? Social-media postings from Madison's family and family friends indicate they doubt she willingly ran away.

West Manheim Township Police released no new information Monday but previously said they believe Madison willingly left home.

Krumrine has said he's trying to convince police to issue an Amber Alert on Madison and has hired a private investigator.

He said the family's hope that Madison will return home is “the only thing keeping us going."

Anyone with information about Madison's whereabouts is asked to call 911 or leave a tip online on West Manheim Township Police's website.

A $5,000 reward has been offered for information about Madison's whereabouts.
