A 57-year-old York City man avoided life-threatening injuries early Sunday morning when he was repeatedly stabbed during an argument with his adult son, according to police.

York City Police said Sidgfreid Simpson, of the 400 block of West King Street, was stabbed three times while in his home about 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Simpson suffered one stab wound on each shoulder and one to the right side of his chest, according to Lt. Troy Bankert. The injuries weren't considered life-threatening, he said.

Simpson was arguing with his 33-year-old son, Marcus Wilson, when Wilson went to another part of Simpson's home, retrieved a knife and attacked his father, according to Bankert.

Simpson was transported to York Hospital by ambulance, the lieutenant said.

Charges are being filed against Wilson, Bankert confirmed.
