UPDATE:

A York County 911 supervisor said the affected portion of Route 116 reopened at about 2 p.m.

REPORTED EARLIER:

Fire and emergency officials have closed a portion of Route 116 just north of Spring Grove for a tree that fell on electrical wires, according to York County 911.

It happened about 12:22 p.m. near the area where railroad tracks cross the rural highway, also known as Hanover Road, between Little Creek and Sprenkle roads, according to 911. That's in Jackson Township.

A fire official at the scene called for fire police to respond. Southbound traffic is being diverted at Biesecker Road and the road is expected to be closed until
