Coroner: Dallastown man dies in work-related fall

A Dallastown man died after a work-related fall Wednesday in York City, according to a release from the York County Coroner's Office.

John Inners, 47, died after falling through a roof he was working on, the coroner's office said.

Inners, an employee of Ream Roofing, of Dallastown, was working on a roof at L.J. Allen, 305 S. Richland Ave., when he fell through the roof, falling 15 to 20 feet, according to the coroner's office. The incident happened  about 8 a.m.

Inners was taken to York Hospital for treatment but succumbed to his injuries at 2:15 p.m., the release states.

Coroner IDs city pedestrian fatality

An autopsy is scheduled for 8 a.m. Thursday at Lehigh Valley Hospital.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration has been notified, and York City Police are investigating. Inners' family has been notified.
