Once again, a York County police department is asking residents to lock their cars and keep valuables out of them.

Carroll Township Police say they received numerous reports of thefts from vehicles that were unsecured in the nighttime hours Friday.

The thefts were reported on Stoney Run Road, the department said in a news release. They also received theft reports on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

In addition to locking cars and keeping valuables out of them, Carroll Township Police are asking residents to keep their outside lights on and to report any suspicious people or vehicles.

Anyone with information on the thefts is asked to call the York County Office of Emergency Services by dialing 911 or 717-854-5571.
