West York man accused of assaulting tenant during break-in

A West York man is accused of breaking into an apartment and assaulting the tenant, according to police.

Troy Abreght, 47, of the 1400 block of West Market Street, is charged with burglary, simple assault and criminal mischief, among other charges.

West York Police say that about 5:15 a.m. Jan. 2, Abreght forced his way into another apartment unit at his address. While inside, he assaulted a tenant, causing a fractured nose and other injuries, police said.

Patrol officers found Abreght and took him into custody.

He remains in York County Prison on a probation detainer, according to police.
